Aug 27, 2026. The Mirehaven Fall Bocce League will start on September 10, 2026. League games will be played on Thursdays and Fridays at 5:00 pm. on the two Bocce courts.
Alison Dabney, Bobby Franks and Dianne Thackery are the league organizers. The three leaders will create a competitive balance, with teams of equal experience, strength, and skill levels; therefore, outstanding Bocce skill is not a requirement to join the league.
League action will run for six to seven weeks with teams of five or six players. Each team will play one night per week. Email Alison Dabney at Adabneymmxix@gmail.com to sign up for the league.
The Bocce Interest Group meets every Monday and Friday morning at 9:00 am. for Bocce instruction to teach new players and improve the skills of current members

The Mirehaven Gives Back (MGB) Grand Finale, scheduled for Saturday, September 26, is seeking volunteers to help support auction displays, room decorating, and event preparations at the Amenity Center.
The event will take place in the Great Room and Manzano Room, where volunteers are needed to serve as Table Monitors for auction displays throughout the afternoon. Four tables will feature four to five auction items each, and Table Monitors will answer questions, chat with residents and encourage bidding.
Organizers hope to fill two volunteer shifts, with five to six people needed for each shift:
· 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
· 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.
Volunteers working the first shift will help set up the displays before the auction opens at noon.
Second-shift volunteers will help move auction items to the Cottonwood Room and prepare for Gala participants to check out later in the evening. Volunteers will not be responsible for collecting payments.
In addition, organizers are looking for two to three volunteers to decorate the Manzano Room for the Gala dinner.
An organizational meeting will be held before the event to review responsibilities and answer questions.
